CREATIVE iMEDIA
Our Cambridge National in Creative iMedia equips students with the wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative digital media sector. They start at pre-production and develop their skills through practical assignments as they create final multimedia products.
These qualifications will assess the application of creative media skills through their practical use. They will provide learners with essential knowledge, transferable skills and tools to improve their learning in other subjects with the aims of enhancing their employability when they leave education, contributing to their personal development and future economic well-being. The qualifications will encourage independence, creativity and awareness of the digital media sector.

Assessment
Pupils will complete an externally assessed written paper worth 25% of the overall mark and three internally assessed assignments worth 25% each.

Enrichment Offer
The Department offers subject-specific enrichment clubs and pupils are able to use the Academy’s state-of-the-art IT facilities at both lunchtime and after school. Pupils are able to take part in school-wide competitions, as well as representing the Academy in local and national competitions designed to increase their engagement and enhance their subject knowledge. Intervention sessions to consolidate prior learning and ensure maximum progress are at the heart of our delivery model.
